i paid 60 bucks for him and still have him 6 years now

Motoro- First one is doing well, and fattening up.

A pair of motoro variants are my first attempt at rays. One (female) died couple of days later (no idea why). the remaining pup is fat and growing very fast ... <sigh> ... LFS has a pair right now .... thinking still whether to replace. If i go back next weekend and they are still there i will get the female ... i think....

Neat! How many years have you been keeping rays now?

22 years

and in that time i have had rays all the time apart from the 2yrs i took time out to try a FRT

My first was a motoro,got him at about 4" got him because i know that they are good hardy fish, and i do have the adequate housing. They were a very good price too. Following week i picked up the other.

MY FIRST WAS IN 2000. A 6 INCH MOTORO, AND A RETIC I GOT FROM A LFS. HAD THEM ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND FOR SOME CRAZY REASON THE MOTORO TRIED TO EAT A BIG CLOWN LOACH AND DIED. SINCE THEN IVE OWNED ABOUT 10 RAYS UP TILL 06. THEN I OPENED MY RETAIL AQUARIUM SHOP AND IT WAS GAME OVER. I BEEN BUYING AND SELLING ALMOST ANY AND EVERY RAY I CAN T SEE.
