The last animal I got was a male Eastern Box Turtle. My friend's dad has a few that he breeds. I traded a large piece of rubber pond lining for him. He wanted the lining so he could build his painted turtles a larger pond.
I'm crossing my fingers for some eggs to be layed soon by both my females. Here are some pics of him that I took the other day. He didn't want to eat for the first week I had him but now he's doing just fine.

If I get any new herps it will probably be a pair of Crested geckos or Crocodile Skinks.

:eek:Warning the following disturbing pics show a turtle killing raspberries.

I am jealous of your hoggy Jessie. :(

That's it... guys... I AM GOING TO GO THE STATES, THE LAND OF THE FREE AND ALL THE MUMBO JUMBO.

Oh wait... I have to apply for citizenship? Guess I will be staying here.

lol my hoggies really nasty (well nervous)
i was thinking of swopping him for a royal baby and an albino leo, but I'm not sure I can part with him now! :P

Hoggies take awhile to calm down, but they calm down quite quickly though. Look on the bright size, at least it is not hissing like a mofo and rattling its tail.

lol oh you haven't heard it hiss! or puff! or seen it strike!

Haha. Gopher snakes are scarier than Hoggies, IMO. Although they are not as prone to striking. They do this whole rasping hiss that can be heard throughout the entire building, rattling its tail like a rattlesnakes, then do the whole false strike things. Yet when you pick them up, they are nice and calm.

Hoggies do hiss, but it is not as loud. Just keep at it, eventually it will back down.

yeah it will.. im still getting it feeding reguarly and settling in atm. I have about 15 years to tame it :D
i love the noise the hoggy makes when he puffs up aswell as hissing, hes great:P

That's what I don't like about the Hoggies, they lose that awesome characteristic when they calm down.
