I found the site on one of my Saturday trips in Muncie and Angels and More when someone left a postcard size advertisement... I was like well Africans are not monsters but maybe it will be cool...

I left those cards there :headbang2

I was reading an article online about a guy with a "huge tank." 5,000 gallons or 50,000 gallons...something like that. Clicked on the link and opened the door to species and possibilities I never knew existed...Overwhelmed at first but kept coming back. Being a smart *** I fit right in most of the time :D

Kinda felt like the fish keeping version of the Matrix....hmmm interesting

Learned a TON from all you guys n gals! THANKS!!!!!!!:headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

unfortunately I only have room for a 90 right now :irked:

when i first discovered it I wanted to keep golden trout. then, I saw the 50000 gall monster mega tank. :jaw: dam those r big pimas!!!!

I seen a add in the tfh magazine. That was how I used to get my info on different species and such. I had never been to any other sites before and was just totally blown away by some of the setups and fish people have on this site. Good by magazines (havent bought one since:ROFL:) hello MFK:popcorn: :grinno: Since joining all my tanks have doubled or tripled in size and quantity, and I've learned so much more in the little time I've been on MFK than in all the years previously flippin through pages. Oh yeah and I can type faster now too.:grinno:
Thanks MFK.

My first impression was that 300g tanks are the new 10g tanks.

I was in the market for a new aquarium and had around 3 grand to spend on it so I wanted the biggest tank. I was searching online for the largest private aquarium to get an idea about prices and such. Found the 50 000 gallon aquarium. Read it like 3 times over... just thought like "thats going to be more then 3 grand..."
Read more and more...
The more I read the more I wanted to read
I would get so anxious about seeing other people's aquarium and seeing fish then its like ... wait I finally have my own Tank...
So I now go on MFK infront of my aquarium on my laptop.

Looked up a pic of an alligator Gar on google images... Brought back memories of my uncles "Monster" tank back when i was a kid...

Nothing looks cooler then an Alligator gar to a 6 year old, especially in low light conditions with flash lights and you see their evil eyes.

Too bad i cant house one.
