yup thats the fun part with orinos; you never know what you gonna get. ive gone through 20+ orinos over the course of a year to finally be happy with the 6 big guys i have

Yeah, i'm havin fun with it man, these are my first "good quality" Cichla...I can see a major difference from the "Farmies" i've gotten in the past.

Not to hijack the thread but what is the growth rate of Orinos , asking cause I also got some from Rapps. They are about 3 inches now and eating bloodworms, silversides cut up,shrimp cut up,the occassional fly that appears.

SLOW! most guys got them in may '09 at about 1.5". 8 months later and theyre about 7"

they were late may from the second batch he had i bought ten of the first batch and killed them with rid ich jeff was way cool and hooked me up on a second try these are the original three i got from that batch
