what are the pros and cons of an air vacuum one ran by pump and a water vacuum ran by gravity. Sorry if I can't spell.

Well, you've spelled each individual word correctly but I'm still not sure what you are asking / describing...

Let me over punctuate your sentence and ask you to better describe what you mean…

what are the pros and cons of an… air vacuum one, ran by pump… and… a water vacuum, ran by gravity.

What is an “air vacuum one”

If you are asking about using a pump to suck water out of the tank for cleaning vs. using a siphon to suck water out of the tank for cleaning…

Then using a pump is usually faster, but most pumps are not designed to have debris pushed through their impeller…

I’ve always used a simple siphon to drain and clean tanks… FYI - The greater the distance below the tank’s water surface the open end of the siphon hose is, the stronger the siphon will be… Therefore if you have a tank upstairs… and you start a siphon with a long hose… and throw that hose out the window… the siphon will go MUCH faster than if you held that hose in a bucket next to the tank…

:confused::confused::confused::(

i am having trouble understanding what you are talking about?
Could you some how reword it or further explain what you are refering to?

What is a-----(air vacuum one)<--- a air powered gravel vacuum? maybe:(
And what is a -----(water vacuum ran by gravity) <-- are you talking about a syphon? And are we talking about gravel vacuuming a tank?

lol... I was only faster because you used all the pretty dashes and arrows...

And i set here scratching my head for a few looking at what was asked as well. LOL

Ahhhhhhhhh…. So THAT’s what a “air vacuum one ran by pump” is…

Although I didn’t put it together when you asked… it does make sense now :D

Since weekly water changes are recommended anyway… I suggest sticking to the old fashioned siphon hose…

But if you are the type who wants to give the tank a quick once over before guests come over, I think using the Kleen sweep would be a good idea for doing that…

I’ve never personally used the Kleen sweep nor even handled one in person so I cannot vouch for it’s effectiveness or quality.

Note: Beat him again *pulls a muscle patting himself on the back*

For my age I am still very bad with computers it is search and destroy typing. And very hard to get out what i want to say.
