what work?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a big pretty tank in the living room... so when I have company over I want it to look it's best. So I usually do a small water change before I have company...

If it works as advertised, the Kleen sweep would make this a ton easier... but will not replace the importance of weekly water changes...

Of course life gets busy for all of us and we miss a water change here and there. If you found you had time to do a "Kleen sweep" but not a water change, I would definitly say the Kleen Sweep is better than nothing...

Ultimately nitrate levels should be our guide to our water change schedule. And Kleen Sweeping won't do anything to reduce them.

So on one hand, it's better than nothing... but on the other hand it's not an equal substitute... I'd like to say more but I've run out of hands...

Damn I should have gotten more sleep...

i am having trouble understanding what you are talking about?
Could you some how reword it or further explain what you are refering to?

What is a-----(air vacuum one)<--- a air powered gravel vacuum? maybe:(
And what is a -----(water vacuum ran by gravity) <-- are you talking about a syphon? And are we talking about gravel vacuuming a tank?

I was all over this one. I have mind reading powers. LOL

But to the OP

I have used a air powered gravel vac in the past. But I had my set up where the water would drain from a valve under the tank. And i used the air powered vac to clean with.

So they do work. But if you have to manually syphon the tank anyway then its a waste of time.
