Don't bother with live food as a first resort. Try the frozen bloodworms first. Get the Hikari brand if at all possible. Fish seem to love those best for some reason. Even stubborn eaters for me will take those.
It's easy for fish to get spoiled on live foods but you can run into a few problems. First, they may not be the complete nutrition your fish needs and it could lead to problems later. Second, constantly bringing feeders or guppies home from the LFS will increase the chance of bringing a disease or parasite home to introduce to your tank. Then you may actually have a real problem. It's best to eliminate the risk and just stick with freeze-dried, frozen, and pellet foods, if possible.
