I say , "f) All of the above"
1st the Armatus started picking on it, chasing it around.
2nd the constant swimming and movement attracted the Aro so it tried to eat the Scomb. At one point it was probably in it's mouth. Soon as the Aro realized he can't swallow it, it was spit out and sank to the bottom.
3rd Then during the night the Tigrinus is hella active looking for food who then tries to eat the Scomb and also realizes he can't swallow to he gives up.
4th Being the opportunist bottom feeder the Hi-Fin was sucking on the scales salvaging what he can eat.
