Was trying to make decision on Jack Dempsey and CA Cichlid tank or more peaceful setup with severums for a 75G Tank. Which would grow out faster? What is your opinion Severum or Dempsey/CA tank?

if it is a 75, then go with severums, because it will allow you to have tankmates, perhaps some smaller acaras or festivum
go with a JD if you want a solo fish, go with sevs if you want to try for a breeding pair. I suggest starting with 3 or 4 of them. I've had green sevs grow only 2" in a year and I've had gold severums grow 1/2" a month it's hard to say how fast they will grow.
They are not your fastest growing cichlids... but i do find the gold severums seem to grow faster then other varieties.. the severums will increase their growth speed if you keep up with your water changes which applies to all fish... more room and more water changes bigger and faster they grow.. sorry i don't know about JD since i don't have any to compare them..
although, naturally, some individuals will grow faster/slower than the norm for their species... I've raised both (Dempseys & Severums) and I would say that the normal growth rate for both species is about the same.
Severum seem to grow faster for me. One 75 that worked well for me. 1 severum 1 choclate cichlid 1 geo brasileninsis 2 adult rainbow fish and a redtail shark. These fish lived in harmony for me all the way to adulthood.
