1.) 96x30x25
2.) 72x36x25

The first one is cheaper and more gallons, But the second one is wider and 20gallons less but its 40$ more.

I dont think $40 is enough to influence the decision considering that hopefully you should have many years of pleasure from the tank. If he is going for pbass maybe the tank should be fatter rather than longer?

I think forget the price difference and go with what you (and the fish) prefer!

I deal with pygos, so definately I'd go for the longer tank...Longer the better in my opinion....Longer tanks are more intresting and look "bigger"....One of my longest tanks is 96in....Personally, when it somes to ]\/[onsterTanks, I will not go any shorter than 96", the length rocks.....

well, He wanted a 600gallon but he dosent have the money. But he has an arowana and a knife fish.
what would u think is good for an arowana and knife fish?

Arowana=Pond...lol.....Wider would be better in this case.....But a longer tank would'nt hurt....Considering aros easily get 3ft in aquariums, any of the above tanks mentioned above would be alright...

width to length question all depends on what you wish to keep in there. I would go wide for the aro so that it can turn around easier. Plus you get a great sense of depth when its further back.

wider I think is better for aros so they have plenty of room to swim and turn around.

Deffinatly go with the 36" one!
