hey guys, im starting a 75g comunuty tank full of the usual peacefull fish but now i wanted somthing eel like to live within the rocks and such, only thing is im affraid to, so far every eel ive owned were pretty visous and would go threw small fish like a handful of M&Ms:popcorn: so now im wondering if i would have the same problem with lets say a rope/reed fish or a Dragon golby i never owned anyone of these fish and ive always wanted to, and all the research ive done says that they r both peaceful fish and do well in comunuty tanks But they dont look it at all to me and i dont trust those ratings they give in books anymore as theyve proved to be wrong more time then right:screwy:.. could anyone help me?????

Ropefish would eat anything the size of a guppy, but would probably leave something like a Congo tetra alone. Try mixing with African Butterflyfish and African Brwon Knivefishes for a nice African mini-preds setup.

Dragon Gobies are brackish.

Hmm khuli/coolie loaches could work for you..These fish are nocturnal(Spelling?) but are more colourful and more peaceful than eels =]] Alot of people complain about them getting into the filters... and they do.A group of 6 + would be stunning! They need alot of hidinh places aswell. They rarely reach lengths of 11cm in captivity

hey guys, i think im gonna go with a rope fish, i seen a 1-1/2ft ropefish this weekend at the lfs and i fell for it so now i gotta redo my tank stocking list around them im probly gonna go with two of them , im wondering if they come in different colors besides brown??

i would rather have the ropefish over the bichirs,my tank is a all white sand, with grey rocks and a black backround so any albinoe fish or brown fish or even black would get lost in there, but this african b.f. fish what is that look like i never heard of it??

African Butterfly Fish are really neat fish. Here <---- make sure to look at all four pages for the pictures.

that is a pretty cool looking fish i need to c how it looks in the lfs first, im a pretty picky person lol... also are rope fish a active fish or is a fish that chills on the bottum of the tank all day??
