They look great in groups but if tank space allows,six or more would be good.
They really are beautiful little cichlids.

The biotodoma cupido would primarily occupy the substrate area correct? If I purchased 6- 8 cupidos, could I also do, for example, five Altums for the top zone.
I have 6 cupido, 6 geos, 6 chalceus in my 180 and regret not getting more cupido, they grow really slow
Well, I think I will go with 6-8 of the Biotodoma cupido and 5 True Altums and call my tank good! Thank you guys for all your help--- your the best!
Great fish choices all round. This is the type of tank I like to see.
Multiple groups of the same species looks much better than a mix and match of many different types.
Stocking sounds fine to me with the cupids and the Altums.
