What would you do? Empty 180g = 1 fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well IMO a 30 inch jardini is not gonna be happy in a standard 180g, so I would go with a well aquascaped, planted driftwood tank with a single blackghost knifefish.

S. Rhombeus or Fahaka Puffer.

Dovii! Well for me anyways if i was limited to one but with a 180g tank i would have to go for CA community Especially the other fairly smaller Parachromis hehe

no questions asked. if ur getting one fish go with the mbu pufer. i hear they are the biggest attention hogs towards humans

grade A flowerhorn, whatever kind appeals most to you...or go with something else with color, if its only one fish in a 180....also, id make sure whatever I choose was show quality, and not likely to be duplicated elsewhere...
However, if it was me with my current fish, then my veil tail oscar would be in there, as it got me back into fish keeping, and therefore means alot to me.
Also, with a 1000 dollar cap, im going to have to rethink this later, and try to come up with something oddball hopefully.
Personally I think a single guppy, or something of similar size would be hilarious.

I don't personally enjoy single specimen tanks, but were I to do one the fish would have to be something REALLY out of the ordinary. Some sort of wacky eel, those fire eels I think they are called come to mind. Either that or I'd do a fish I had to special order from some obscure place in germany. Basically, I'd be after something no one would ever be likely to see in a fish store. With that in mind, Id probably end up doing a cold water native.

some kind of big cichlid or aro.

if u want beauty and aggresivness go with a big cichlid maybe dovii, high grade flowerhorn, Vieja Argentea are gorgous when big.

if u want personality go with an aro.(my aro's only 9" and i hand feed him and am able to "pet" him.)

or maybe even a fahaka or mbu puffer they get huge and are fun.

Thats what I want except I'd want a Male Gold Severum.
