Hello MFK,

As most of you know who frequent the ray forum any time someone who lives in a Ray free state asks a question people immediately point out that they can not have stingrays where they live mostly not even answering the question. So it made me wonder what you the ray keepers would do if your state banned them.

1)voluntarily surrender your animals
2)Hide them and hope you do not get caught
3)Openly challenge the laws put in place acknowledging you are breaking them

Probably 2 or 3 but... I would love to keep piranhas and venomous reptiles in my state but they are banned. I try to follow most laws lol. hard to say having your state change the law while you have them. way different then blatantly breaking the law and keeping restricted species.

Option two!
Hide em!

If I had them I would hide the and hope they got grandfathered in. Otherwise I would have to wait until I retired then chance it.

If you have rays before the ban sets in, they are grandfathered.

If you have rays before the ban sets in, they are grandfathered.

If this is true how would they prove how long you did or didn't have something?

I cannot have rays or piranhas :( or gars. California sucks. is there anything we have that someone else doesn't?

In NJ we can't have axolotyls...

Good question and a little different but in Pa. we can't have sugar gliders or hedgehogs.
