what would you do with an empty 29?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
triple reds kinda sound nice, i don't need a tank for feeders and i have no need for a sump.....but now more then ever i'm thinking of:

A. 2 jewels, 1 firemouth and a zig zag eel
B. 1 albino senegal (99% of time get to only 10" or so), a zig zag eel + ?
C. a nice community tank perhaps? cherry barbs, gourami's and a big school of tiger barbs
D. Africans

almost forgot about dwarf pikes!!!!!! maybe i'll just go that way since i LOVE pikes.

I like the community tank idea. (Monos and scats get way too large) Most Africans do get very beefy and get some size to them, so I wouldn't advise this.

i would go with 2 firemouths and 1 jewel since a pair of jewels would crush:hitting: a FM if they formed a pair. I'm not sure that can be said about 2 FM's and one jewel

ok after a little research, i really like blood red jewels, they look sweet!

so now i'm down to either combining ideas which would look like 1 jewel, 1 albino senegal and 1 belly crawler

or 2 jewels and some tough and fast tiger barbs. i think if the jewels did pair up they still couldn't really touch a tiger barb

sen will outgorw a 29 just so ya know (dont know if you were planning on keeping it in there for life or not)
i say either some DP's or rams killis are another good choice and the dwarf pikes those are my top threee votes
