I ask this question because I'm having a hard decision on whether to keep them or not. Had them for about a year . What's making it so hard is that they get along well, a and never lost one, their mother is in there with them she killed the male after he fertilized the eggs.

I thought about putting the smallest of them in my 180 predator tank, but decided not to . :)

Is there no LFS that will take them? I know they won't give you very much (at least mine don't) but it will solve the 'problem'.

I would agree with Jim (notho2000), where I live most LFSs will give credit toward fish food, or other fish. Usually to the tune of about 1/4 to 1/3 the retail price.
You could also take them to one of your local fish clubs, and check if someone there would like to trade you for some fish you haven't tried yet, or simply BAP them (Breeders Award Program).
Many of the fish I have, have come from trades with other members of my local club, and after a few spawns, I will often trade my spawning pairs, for another spawning pair of fish that haven't bred for me.
