Would you pull all the dividers and just have it wide open or use them to divert flow up and down for better circulation through the rock? I'm leaning towards the latter. Set up similar to what's commonly referred to as a Jap sump.
Secret Fish Agent Training Facilty... I would put lasers and barbed wire up.. and maybe a cat at the end.. then train some golfish to get threw it or ELSE!
Chop the dividers and put lights under the bottom to make algae scrubbers!
Lol, I saw a post on here about that not long ago. Maybe I'll get the award for most novel idea... well maybe second place after the one who wanted to train secret agent goldfish... psh, everyone knows secret agent fish have to be guppies!
Lol, personally that's what I'd do. Like Dr. joe said live rock/coral growout refuge seems like a good idea. If you hadn't already set up the tank I would say build a row into the stand, buff out the scratches and use it as a combo filtration/display refuge for all your frags.
Just seems like a pain to polish a turd when I could just use a decent looking 55 gallon for the fuge. Maybe the big one would be worth it.
Not sure I'm going to be able to flow the GPH I'de like to with the submerged media style sump. Seems like pushing 3-4K gph through one of these things might not be all that simple.
Will try to get some pics of progress up tomorrow.
