BUY IT!!!! Even if it was illegal, (which it isnt in the UK but they might aswell be because they are soooo overpriced) seriously what harm can an arowana do even IF you dump it in a cold body of water. It will just die they arent like snakeheads.

seriously dude what a dumb question

I expected better from seeing questions like this. Tom, it is not just the environmental threat that is under consideration. Ever heard of an idiot who wants to release an Asian arowana in the wild despite the breeding difficulties, certificates, endanger status and fetching prices? Absolutely not. Nobody in his right mind would release a fish that just cost him hundreds of bucks. You might want to reconsider your last statement about snakeheads. That was a very broad tack. Most species are far tolerant of colder temperature compared to others. In the end, some specimens will find means in order to adapt and survive a totally different environmental condition.

Legal or not, if the fish in question is illegal, then it's illegal. That's up to you if you choose to report it or not. That's up to you whether you care to be called by anybody a "snitch" or "tipster", whether your report is done anonymously or not. Bottom line, we do not condone public discussions of illegal activities. This is why some laws change for the worse because of fluorishing black markets.

Last note, do not post any more threads that involve illegal activities being condoned by some members. This reflects badly of the community of hobbyists in general even if it may be legal in some areas. This just does not work well in the end.
