i am making the switch from live food to pellets, or at least attempting to.
up until this week, all my fish have been on comets, bloodworms, and krill.

i would like to eliminate the comets all together, but the frozen i plan to use to vary their diets.
if you had my stocklist, what would you feed them and how often?

TSN cat 10"
irwini cat 9"
p.bass mono 9"
p.bass tem/orino? 7"
clown knife 7"
silver aro 7"
silver aro 14" (already on pellets)

i have been trying to get them on hikari gold in the red bag....

what and how often would you feed them? do the catfish need something different? the guy who i got the aro from was feeding it to his TSNxRTC, but i want to make sure my TSN and irwini will eat it ?

(my tank is finally looking good, so i will be posting pics in the next few days :headbang2)

I might try Hikari Carnivore sticks or the Hikari Sinking Carnivore tabs (BIG BAGS). I'd probably throw the Hikari Frozen Krill in there too.

As for the schedual, I would probably give them a good feeding every couple of days.

Hikari Massivore is a large pellet that would be good for these fish. Mix in other pellets and frozen. Feed 2-3x per day.

Hmmmmm If they already take krill, try feeding some pellets with the krill to get them on the pellets by thinking its krill and soon enough im pretty sure they will take pellets. :)
I've tried this on my oscars waaaayyyy back and it worked out pretty good, so it should work out with other fish too.

:( -- RIP "sharkbait" -- :(

i no longer have the small aro, apparently the pellets didn't look as tasty as my aro did to my TSN :(

i really doubt your TSN will accept pellets
but there might be a chance that he might accept
try the sinking massivore

your stocking is quite wrong(not trying to be rude , just stating the fact )
as the TSN has just started now
i think he willl finish many others pretty soon

and by the fact that you tried to keep such a small silver with a TSN, tells me you aren't much aware about the TSN
they grow huge and fast and they will devour any thing small and anything big, sometimes bigger than themselves

and within 6 months they will reach 15"+ or so

:topic:thats so off topic!!!
wtf!!!! and now my post is off topic!!!!!!!!

Well to put things back on topic. It might take a while to put them onto pellets instead of live food cause since ther used to that they know thats what to eat and thats really all they know. So the hard part is getting themt o try it but you can easily do that with liket he others said the carnivore sticks or pellets but once they know that it is food tehy will always eat it. Also a really helpful thing is to feed your fish a little everytime you go into the room. Cause then evertime you step into the room they will be expecting food and will eat anything that hits the water. Good Luck.

the tsn and the aro had been together for several months with no problems whatsoever
i keep my fish fed, and they do fine together.
had i not stopped feeding the comets, i have no doubt that everyone would be fine. it was my mistake to "starve" the catfish, not my mistake by stocking them together.
