As Angler said, Hikari Massivore is an excellent pellet. Give that a try. Pellets are a preferential food, because they are formulated to meet the fish's nutritional needs better than one type of frozen or prepared food. Those (frozen/prepared) foods are great, but they should be part of a wider variety in your fish's diet.
