Good idea.

I'll make sure to send you a box filled with various insects that are not packed into containers.

Also, check the legalities. Alot of times you need permits to legally ship inverts(I see weevils and hornworms on your list, and these are serious agricultural pests. You'll probably need a permit to raise and sell them).
Something I like to see on invert dealer sites is Latin names. Common names are too confusing with inverts, so I like to see people make an effort to accurately ID what they have for sale.
Another thing I'd like to see more people selling/breeding are African giant millipedes (A. gigas). Ever since the importation ban the prices are too high, and we need more and more people to breed them to help bring prices down again.
For the silkworms I'm planning on making my own food, it can be done. Probably not worth it though, but I'll check it out. If anything I could buy food for them in bulk from other silkworm sites, it wouldn't be cheap though. I'd rather sell them for a higher price and not have them though. Alot of people use these insects.
It is illegal to ship out any plant pests across states (interstate) or out of the U.S. I'm working on getting a plant pest permit for every state (at least the lower 48) right now. There are alot of steps and once the permit is even in it could take a couple of months for them to even accept it. I've heard that the owner of blaberus.com (roaches) when he tried to get the permits it took a whole year to get everything he needed. That was awhile ago too, could be even longer now or they might not even want to have certain insects shipped across states now.
Honestly even the owner of blaberus.com which has sent out millions of roaches by now has said he has only been caught twice and one time he got fined and the next time he got his roaches back and that was it. This was obviously before he got his permits.
Latin names is a good idea. Maybe have them beside the common name of the insect. Springtails have 6 common kinds that people buy, so having their latin names would be ideal. Very good idea.
I'll look into the breeding of the millipedes. This idea is worth much more than just making a buck over selling some insects.
Thanks for the thoughts guys.
Jeff
