Some town
I got some small dwarf cichlid and I would like to get it a cave. What would you make a good cave out of? Oh yeah and it has to be something that won't change the P.H. too much. What would you make a good cave out of?

I saw a picture of a laetacara Curviceps (a possibility of what my new fish is) in a hollowed out cocanut split in half and cut an arch for the fish to get in and out. How would this work?

As long as the coconut on the inside was completely removed, I don't see why not.
Maybe soak it for a while and change water a couple times just to be on the safe side.

Would a Mod mind moving this to DIY projects and ideas for me? I think I'd get better results there.

That might work. What else maybe that be easy?

Nothings easier than a terracotta pot.
But maybe a big piece of slate with two big rocks to hold up one side?
Then put other rocks all around it, to make it look natural.
That might be cool...

What I just thought of was taking a ghost knife tube and puting rocks around it.

Use slate rock and make it the way you want. Also, if you use a coconut shell you have to treat it similar to driftwood. Its gotta be soaked and cleaned and dried out for awhile.
