What would you pay...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
what i would pay and what it MIGHT be worth to some serious collector are two different questions ... fish is worth as high as the buyer is willing to pay ... and how motivated the seller is trying to move the fish ... if you have one, post up some pictures .. you'll get some exposure that way if you're trying to sell it ... good luck

If it is really 16", then it is pretty old, and getting close to the end of its life. Even so, that fish would be worth at least $2000 USD.

These fish are listed on a price list I recently saw, I thought about ordering them just to say I have them. I can remember when we had these in the shop all the time. After I hear if we are going to order them or not I will say what they lsited for :naughty:

how long do plecos live?

probably a hoax...these fish rare at this point to be seeing them available on a commercial fish list.it is not very likely that the are the panaque species.

Oh, I guarantee it is no hoax. This was listed by a very well known collector on his list. The price on the list is $2000 but you can get them slightly cheaper for getting more than one. I do not know if the $2k was a wholesale price or the retail price.

Fish like this don't have a retail price. They just have a highest bidder price.

its not a hoax theyare available again just at as Wyldfya said to the highest bidder, my lfs has had 3 come in recently and they where sold before they landed.

I've yet to hear convincing info that they are going to start being commercially available again. Like you said they will probably only go to people who have thousands to throw around on fish and even then finding them is the biggest problem.
