There is a very good chance I am getting a 220 gallon in about two weeks 72x24x30. Its gotta be freshwater thats my only requirement lol. I'm just looking for ideas.

Acanthicus Adonis. Albino morph. Landscaping of tall driftwood and no other fish to distract from the grace of the star.

72x24x30, same blueprint as my last biggie........Stock it with a dozen red belly piranha and 6 caribe......The fish will surely thrive in that size of tank.........Fill it with pea gravel and sand dunes.........PLace plants, LONG tall ones in the back and an AMazon Mother plant in the center.......Ever seen, or owned, and Amazon Mother plant, REALLY BIG..........

Nice size tank, but research before u consider any of the true behemoths (gar, arapaima,RTC,pacu, etc). Your options are almost endless. I think one of the best ways to plan out a tank's inhabitants is to make a list of the fish you like. Put everything your heart desires on the list, and then work back by crossing off names that are too big, incompatible, etc. Consider the 3 levels of your tank also (top,mid,bottom)- don't crowd any level and don't leave any level empty. Decide before settling on a stocking list how many adult "fish inches" you are going to allow yourself (obviously be approximate and understock a little if possible). Good luck.

I'd really like to get a ray. I LOVE sa/ca cichlids too. I'm not sure why I would even consider a arapaima, RTC, or a pacu with only a 220?
