What would you put in a 220?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That two foot width is going to limit you, just keep that in mind on some of these monsters being recommended. :)

agree try to keep the stock limited to 22" adulthood length, that or plan on upgrading again, in some cases soon.

I guess that is another requirement. Must be able to live in this tank as an adult. I am a full time college student with a cool dad who wants me to put this tank in our "man cave." I don't care much for piranhas and puffers sorry. I'd like some sort of Aro but not sure how big they get? I want a retic or motoro ray. Maybe cichlid recs? Some sort of catfish maybe IDK. Never really thought about it.

Asian arowana (a black market one if you're from ohio), 2 stingrays, 3 bichirs, a fancy catfish, and a school of something nice. Just put a couple fx5's on it.

The footprint will not allow for any rays, and I would not recommend the black market as a reference lol

purple rose... peacock bass..gt's.. red devil

I have had very good experiences with an 18" Pacu, a 22" Arowana, two large Tiger Oscars, a 10" Black Catfish, two (believe it or not) Ropefish, 2 Khuli Loaches, and a big Midas Cichlid...all in a 200 gallon tank - be forwarned though, a 220 takes a LOT of monitoring with all those big eaters (and thus excretors) but the balance can be struck by keeping the water a bit briney.

I hope this helps

You can do a silver arowana, flagtail prochidulis, silverdollars, ntt datnoids, indo datnoids , uaru, geophagus, jurense catfish, and tigrnius catfish.
