What would you say is the rarest pleco

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
lol, there are lots that aren't on the market. In the UK you'd be hard pushed to find anything "uber rare". Finding something like a blue eyed pleco would be something though, they aren't often about.

i'd sell organs for a good Blue eye panaque. is it Panaque Suttoni, Panaque Suttonorum or Panaque Cochliodon? i thinks its Suttoni but have heard about it changing. is this true?

yeah, that's basically it, it was Panaque suttoni, changed to suttonorum because it was named after a man and women (not just a man), so it abided by the "rules of scientific naming".

Then it's pretty much excepted that the blue eyes in the hobby aren't P. Suttonorum, but a very similar looking fish (P. Cochliodon - which it is now referred too, although in reality could be another unidentified species) based on it looking slightly different to the description of P. suttonorum, and location of imports and collection of the fish.
