What you can do with small space constraints

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There is a remote possibility some or most of the fish wont grow due to the size of the tank itself. I will keep everyone updated.
No. There is no possibility of this. When the growth stops due to space constraints, we call it "stunting," which has serious negative effects on the fish's health. And it happens more because of toxins that build up in the water, rather than a lack of physical space. If you're keeping the water clean, then the fish will outgrow the aquarium.

I don't expect this thread to last too long...

Stunting will stop their musculoskeletal growth, but their organs will continue to grow to the size nature intended. One of the cruelest thing you can do to an animal.

Wow! I can't believe what I just saw! I couldn't even watch the whole video! There is no way anyone can expect those fish to be happy living like that! I struggle with my 125 gallon not being big enough to house all the fish I would like to have. So it really ticks me off to see someone just completely disregard the health and wellbeing of living creatures just for their own pleasure. Those poor fish :-( You have no business keeping any of those species in that tank! That is just wrong!

This tank is cruel as hell, you obviously know what you're doing in terms of water quality etc; but you can't seriously believe that the system you have there is producing stress free fish

I like the tank dimensions... for plants and tetras. What you have there is foolish and obviously evident by your fish killing each other.

That's a gator gar as well!! Good luck with this setup

Will die far before it has a chance to get cruelly stunted. I hope. When that gar gets big all the rest wouldn't even be one feeding in a normal tank lol, oh lord, April 1st already?
