What's a good asking price for....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Business SENSE is needed on both the buyer and the sellers part. Personally I get great deals on my aquarium stuff, and I pass it on. I don't care if the person buying it has 1000 tanks and just wants one more, or is a completely new person to the hobby, I sell them cheap because I feel to get a good deal, I should also pass on a good deal.

true words. its nicer to help a fellow hobbiest. if you dont need it, there are people that can get a lot of joy from it

Guys, keep it clean, please.

Thanks,

Please read them again.. And I will too.. I reallize we're both young and your a little hot under the collar but I've already sent you a pm over 10 minutes ago now, now if you could gain a little composure and reply via that angle then we can maybe work out this little miss understanding outside of the forum and topic so that the HOBBIEST that is asking a question doesn't have to read through OUR meaningless jargin that has nothing to do with his thread or helping him.. See you in the PMs :D

I got a quote for a 120 (48x24x24) for only $400 brand new with lights, lids, heater XP3 and air pump. I don't know where you buy from, but time to start shopping for lower prices.

Wow! That is an incredibly dynamite price for a 120 ... especially with a Rena canister. What store was this? That price sounds inconceivably low (at least for around where I live).

I wonder if location has a big factor tank cost. In Sacramento CA a brand new 55gal AGA tank can cost any where from $100 to $200. I had to buy a replacemtn 135gal and paid $300bucks for it new. And on craigslist around here I see people seeling their tanks for outrages amounts. I do see deals everyonce in a while. Someone was selling a 240gal with hood, stand, canopy, sump for $500, I got my 80gal AGA for $100 used, and got my 300gal Acrylic with stand, canopy, sump, uv filter, pumps, everything needed for saltwater for $1000. Then I converted it to freshwater. So if your getting go deals on tanks in CA speak up and please prove me wrong, this is one of the few times I hope I am wrong.
