Whats a good filter for a 75g?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could always buy visa gift cards somewhere and order them that way. You could open up ALOT of opportunities for yourself to get a good deal with a card you can use online. I still stand by the two AC 110's. They work great, are easy to clean, and are easy to set up and keep running.

I have a Fluval 405 on my 75 gal. It keeps my water clear. I purchased a AC110, but returned it due to the excessive width. It's too wide and calls for too much space between the rear of the tank and the wall.

I have a Magnum 350 for water polishing on my 55. Works great for that, crystal clear water, but not sure how well it would perform on Bio. It's basically a 1 or the other filter. You can do Micron water polishing, or run carbon, or run bio. The only combination it allows is a foam sleeve that will fit over the Micron filter or the media basket.

For bio on my 55 I run 2 Penguin 350's, though I am not overly impressed with them. I was thinking of getting a Rena XP3 or maybe even another Magnum to have one for Polishing and one for Bio.
