whats a good non dslr camera?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i was considering the nikon s220, not canon, oops. How good are the cybershots and power shot cameras? so if i had to pick between 10mp and 12mp it wont really matter? my main photographic interested would probably be my kids ( i have a new born so picture taking is a must for memories) and fish.

it just mean go to your nearest bestbuy or online store... buy one that fit your budget...camera these days are pretty good... just dont get off brand type.. then you will be good...

can i go to my nearest fish keeper and hope he gives me a hand me down dslr? :D:naughty:

the thing those user reviews driv eme nuts, cause some people give it 3 out of 5 stars and then write "awesome camera takes the best picture EVER!!!"

or they say its a great camera , with great quality pictures but i gave it 2 stars cause it doesnt come in pink

I have a panasonic luminx, good camera for a non dslr (and cheaper)

^^this is a good bridge camera if your able to splash the extra money. the guy in the shop persuaded me off the more expensive DSLR's because i had no idea and it was a lot of money to buy a DSLR and then a lense, and struggle to use it.
I have to admit its easier than i thought to use but im still learning and there are tons of settings on it for me to figure out yet. you can also buy a couple of add on lenses for it that arent too expensive to allow further experimentation.

if not then the wife has a canon A470. thats a half decent camera for the price. I was told its one of the best ones if your on a tight budget.

all the add on lenses that I've seen for the camera have been disappointingly expensive, but I guess thats just the nature of it, lenses are more expensive than the camera cost. Have you bought any of the add on's if so could you throw out the kind so I can look them up?

Not sure if I mentioned it before but I love the pinhead bert.

ok guys after two painstaking hours in a overcrowded store, i finally picked one. I bought a samsung sl270 12.1 mp with hd video. I looked and looked but this one was the only one they had that had all the features i wanted. I was about to take a cybershot but it required a diff memory card and i was going over budget as it was. anyways, they actually had a dslr camera by sony i thik that was only $280 on sale from $350. I almost got it but when i took a picture wit it i honestly thought the other cameras had better pictures:screwy:

so yeah ill post some sample pics soon in the photo lounge so you guys can see the difference :D:D im happy. anyone have this camera?

Get a Panasonic Lumix. They take incredible pictures for a point-and-shoot. They have several settings, resist motion blur pretty well, take crisp pictures, and have one hell of a zoom!
