WHAT'S A GOOD RARE CICHLID TO START BREEDING PROJECT

I already have a order placed for a umbee from rapps, for a 125 gal , also i have another empty tank where i can grow out a rare aggressive cichlid, i was thinking beani or islantum's but islantum's are so hard to find, any other suggestions.

Be careful if you get beanis b/c they get bloat easily when they're small... Ruck Fules has a breeding pair of Islantum that just had some fry, don't know if he's still selling them or not though.

Look through photos of cichlids and keep what is interesting to you.
If you are thinking about selling the fry you produce, just remember the rarer the cichlid, the less people know what it is and the less people want them.

Honestly I would do a Trimac. You wouldn't think they were rare but lately you see less and less of them.....Pure anyways. Personally I think they are more colorful then a Beani and think their build beats the Islantum's.
