May I suggest you use a responsible and ethical approach to your problem. Put the Angels in a container that is deep enough to just allow them to swim. Place said container in your freezer. Wait 3hrs. Dispose of iceblock.
This method slowly decreases their metabolic rates in a humane fashion and eventually kills them.
As their metabolic rates slow so does their sensitivity to pain, etc and they slip into a state of suspended animation - then die peacefully.

This is NOT the case and TERRIBLE way to euthanise fish. If you are going to euthanise (and only do it if the fish is terminally ill or injured), put the fish in a small container. Mix some clove oil with water, IN ANOTHER CONTAINER. Add just a few drops a minute until they slip into a sleep-like state. Wait 10 minutes, then add the rest. This will overdose the fish while it is asleep. (there is a method on the internet saying to mix the clove oil with vodka, not a good idea either. Would you like being submersed in vodka? Well... in a different context).

Read up on the process of freezing on the internet, the AVMA (american vetrinary medical association) refers to this method as cruel. The only approved method for home euthanizing is the above method.

Clove oil is easy to get and cheap, go to GMC (or anyone else that sells health food supplements). I got my 3 oz bottle for $5. If you ever need more than this you have way too many sick fish.

remember i said its my fishtank, i paid for everything and help pay the bills. i just came home 1 day and saw 7 angels in my tank.

Do most of you skip over this part? Why get another tank when he paid for it and everything. (Lucky me. my mom tried this some time ago and my LMB eat what ever the h3ll she put inside the tank) Just ask them and tell them your fish will eat them really soon.

Well I assume you are cute. Can you imagine your parents dropping you off on the corner cause you weren't? And all teenage boys eat a lot....

I find this funny, but it does happen in real life. With babies but thats a human tho not a pet.

Even what cassharper said only if the fish is terminally ill or injured,

I would like to say to most of your ways to kill a fish painless and so. They are just pets. thats all i have to say. Im sure war would be a nicer place if we didnt just kill ppl. I know im going to get flak for that one.

PS Just wait it out. i have little moon fish i cant get rid of in my planted tank cuz my mom, an every time i thin them out they keep breeding. XD

No I didn't skip that part.I suggested his parents chipping in for a larger tank for him for a reason.Maybe the equivilant of what his exhisting 120 with all attachments is worth to replace. The other bonus is that his aro will only benefit from a bigger footprint both in length and width. It could work out better for all if he approaches them right.Gotta be worth a try;)

im with you but dont get a snakehead for the purpose of getting rid of your angels. my parents dont know anything about fish but wont let me get rid of my blood parrots even though they dont look at them. they were in a hurry to get fish just to make the house look good and got blood parrots because asian restaurants have them. such a waste of tank space for such ugly fish.
never heard of freezing fish to death but ive seen it done to a mouse so i guess you can do that. or bag on your parents about how stupid they are for liking such ugly fish. discus suck ass purebred or not.

This thread really has no point...no one can tell you what to do. Its between you an your parents. Its your tank, sure, so if they want to keep them then discuss setting up a new tank for them, if not, give them to a fish shop or post an ad like others have said.

You sound really immature and do not have much appreciation for something in your care...

let them keep the angels in the 4x2 and get them to help pay towards a bigger tank for the aro, as it wont last long in a 4x2 anyway

get a bigger tank to have what you want and say to your mum and dad they can have that one,,,,,after they brought you into the world and payed for you all the way til now, least you can do,,,or tell your dad that the angels WILL get eaten,,i know i saw a silver aro 4inch eat a similar sized angel last week at a lfs,,,

i know i am going to get grief about this statement but,
IT IS BETTER TO SEEK FORGIVENESS THAN PERMMISION.

i don't think it's cruel for something that cannot feel pain.

you HAVE to mix clove oil with alcohol or it won't mix with the water. you know, oil and water don't usually mix?
