Whats a good website to buy equipment from

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I buy most of my stuff from www.drsfostersmith.com. From what I have found, it is usually a few dollars cheaper than other vendors. Shipping is free after $49.

Ebay is so cheap, I've never bid on an iten just b.I.n and my fx5 was 238.99w/ s&h and media my lfs has it w/ only sponges for 379.99

Sell some old junk there and save up cash in ur paypal and in a month or so you can upgrade.

Filter of course being JUST one example.

Your lfs, they need your business

i agree to a point... i got my filters for half the retail price locally... i will usually call my lfs and get prices.. if its not much of a difference i usually buy from them. a lfs is only getting my money if they earn it.

Haha, I have never used one!

A buddy told me about them and I get my food n supplies there so I gave them a shot. I've sent 3 back already and I'm in the process of switching back to all aquaclear110s on my smaller tanks in the fishroom. One crapped out and started leeaking on one of my pair of festae w fry in the tank and another one crapped out on a 40 breeder w/ my pair or atabapo 1 bonded pikes and I lost them. There prices are great, service too just don't buy their brand lol

I try to support my local stores but the closest one is PetSmart which is the home of high prices....I just ordered a 300watt heater from Fosters and Smith for twenty two dollars....Petsux? Forty seven bucks.
