Honestly.....Wow, youre so overstocked and underfiltered. They need at least a 4000 gallon tank with a million times turnover rate for filtration along with 300% daily w/c's. Make sure to treat with prime and you'll be gold!
silvers will love the extra 2 feet, so a 6ft'er will be best. although remember to be able to service it with the depth also! a 125 reg. (72x18) is some work to reach ;D
Depends on the fish. Typically it is recommended to have a tank that is at least as wide as the length of your longest fish. This allows the fish to turn comfortably. In the case of stingrays it is recommended to have a tank twice as wide as the stingray not including the tail. I have a 2 foot knifefish in a 210g which is 2 feet wide and 6 feet long and I feel a bit bad for him. He has a hard time because he's so freakin big. Gonna upgrade to a 800-1000 gallon in the next few years.
Up to you on length and width. No one mentioned how tall (if this is even pertinent). I have a 48 x 18 x24 and I can just barely get my arms in there to arrange the plants on the bottom. I'm wondering how someone with a 30" tall does it?!
