whats better sump w/d or a good canister????

I did plants in a 90 with a wet dry and they thrived I don't understand the big deal with them???? a wet dry would be your best ecnomical bet.... and no need for ceramic rings go to the dollar store and stock up on nylon scrubbies tons of surface area and cheap as hell

Wouldn't have any problems with a planted tank with lower light plants. Now, for higher light where you need CO2 injection, itcould get tricky. I'm planning on adding CO2 injection to mine. Will be using a inline CO2 reactor inline with one of my return pumps. Should work fine.
 
a 20g tank would do the trick, but you could do more with a 29
 
Levi loves his wet/drys. I think he just likes to build s***! ;)
 
Sump as when my pump burns out :) I replace the pum p for half the price that i would replace my eheims, fluvals or other high end canisters.

Oh and haven't had to change a burnt pump 'YET' .. Probably soon :D
