Whats Considered a MONSTER TANK???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I used to think 200 gallons or more...but now I think any size is. Its all about what you keep in it. a one million gallon tank full of goldfish isnt monster to me...but a tiny tank with something that would devour those goldfish is! anyone who has kept a Mantis Shrimp knows what I mean...I have more monster in 14 gallons than I ever thought possible

I agree with fish eat fish, it is all about what you keep in it that makes it monster. Keeping 500 tetras in a 500 gallon tank isn't monster, 2 stingrays in a 500 gallon tank is

So big that you have to build it yourself, because a premade one wouldn't fit through the door. Anything else is just a big freakin' tank. Not a monster though.

or too big to fit anyhere but use your basment... heheheh

whatever you decide is a monster, fish tanks are very expensive, buy to what you can afford, then upgrade,i have a 100gal,90gal,and a 55gal i think their all monsters, plus i have a 23 inch giant gourami in the 100.and a 10 inch red devil in the 90,i don't feel the need to go any bigger.but it's what ever floats your boat...just my opinion..every body has one.

My 300 was huge at first....

Exactly. I remember when I first got my 55 gallon after having a 29. That 55 was HUGE. When I first got my 300 it was almost overwhelming.

Now the 300 seems normal.

So I guess my definition of a monster tank is double whatever you currently own.
