Yes, Females lay eggs every 3-6 wks as long as water parameters are fine. This one lays about 400-600 eggs once every month. If your male haven't laid eggs and you had him for more than two months or so, it's a male.

im sure he's a male then he's a bit of a bully also.I've have him for a while and he's in a tank alone and I havent ever seen any eggs.
