Do you all think a flowerhorn can kick all other cichlids @$$? I will keep mine by its self but I think if he is with a black nasty and a jaguar cichid he won't be too agressive. What do you all think?
I had a 11" FH that got his butt handed to him by a red devil that was about 9"...

It'll be the Jag and Nasty you need to be worried about. I haven't seen too many overly aggressive FH's

Depends on Size really. I know my smaller sized Midas 9-10" will kill my 11-12" Flowerhorn if I put them together. The Fish I am selling you is in the 2-3" range and not capable of doing much to defend itself against fish bigger than it is. If you want me to bring you the biggest or smallest I have let me know.

I was just wondering because everybody says that FH's are so agressive that they will fight relentlessly. I am planning on building a plywood tank 10ft by 4ft 30 inches so I would like to house them all together.

Well, FH will fight anything that is shaped the same as them in my experience, and some they win, some they loose. They dont have the strongest mouths out there so a chunky non-hybrid has a good chance of mangaling your prize fish, and this happens pretty fast. Horn on Horn, they cant live together from what I have experienced, once they get med-med large, and none of mine will live with anything remotly close to their shape. They can live together in a tank that big I would think, alot of territory in there to claim for each fish, and that is key to harmony..

Yeah honestly it all depends on the fish, tank size, etc. I've seen fish that just won't tolerate each other, and others that live hunky dory.. I believe raising them out together plays a large role in the ones that can live with each other.

At this size I would think FH should be pretty tame. I had some similar sized and they were..
