Sucks you lost the rod, we gotta do some fishing sometime soon. I know a spot with BIG pickerel 20+ and largemouth galore. I'm talking not unheard of to catch 30-50 a day :D

Yea, all the local MKF fishing peeps should go fishing one day, now that would be fun. Spill the beans and share where you catch that many pickerels and bass!

Yes please do. UP unitl last year I use to go to liberty 3-5 a week, but with a schedule change I haven't been once this year. Sure would like to find a killer spot.

Sorry, it's not exactly public fishing grounds, I just happen to know the property manager of the place these 6 ponds are, one easily covers 25-30 acres and is 92' at its deepest. I've landed a few 7-9 pounders out of them, and a 14" Crappie and my biggest pickerel was 23". Best place I've ever been for sight fishing during the spawn, you see litterally hundreds of spawing beds.

I can tell you that it's in AA county though. I'd be happy to take a few members one Sunday.

We usually bring a trolling motor with us, as there are 3-4 small Jon boats scattered about the ponds.

It's so under fished that the fish aren't pressured at all, so they are very aggressive, makes for AWESOME fishing! Top water even in the middle of the day :D
 
I know a small private pond that fishes like that in Carroll county called the Bull pond. The fish aren't as big gut the fishing was great. I was a guest and don't know the owner so I can just go there anytime ,but it was the best fishing expereince I ever had, biggiest blue gill I've ever seen and the smallest large mouth I pulled out was 12". Ever cast brought is something. We wre exhausted after 2hr's and left.

Yea, at my spot the bluegill take 4" senko's LOL, almost the size of a dinner plate!

Oh yea, JP. I had that one from Texas mounted. Only LM I've ever kept. She would've been an easy 16 lbs if it weren't post spawn :(
