Any wood you find along the edge of the water is "drift wood". It may need a rock to sink it but if has been in the water and washed ashore, you have what your after. Soak it in a tub of water for a week or so, and stick it in the tank. I have wood in my tank from the bay and pax river with no problems.crazy clowntang;2132819; said:Since some of us might want to go and gather driftwood in Frosty's backyard, I was wondering how can I identifiy driftwood at my local river or do you have to go to certain rivers to find it? I'll go this weekend and start collecting rocks from the Rappahanock river, maybe I'll find "free" driftwood.
