Florida Devil Ray
approx. an 7" disc

it is eating frozen krill, ghost shrimp, live tubefex, and I got him to eat an earthworm.

Seems to be doing great but needs a permant home badly.
He located at Midway Tropical Fish and Pet for 179.99

I was told by a co-worker its a female but I am unsure of the sex nor do I know how to sex it so I'm not going to say I can.

If your interested stop on by and have a look at it.

Thanks

I googled those rays and it looks like they start as FW and then need salt later in life, and from what i've heard they are hard to keep.

Dave, those tanks are sweet, i wish i had my own house and a chunk of cash to drop on a killer ray tank.. gl on the sale, i hope they go soon.

Thats why I'm worried about him, right now he seems healthy I fed him a massive ammount of frozen krill last night and he tried to take it from me before it even hit his feeding dish in the tank. He seems pretty interactive with me (asserting dominance/just curious i dunno) he stares at me and stands up on the sides of his disc. I hadn't done any research on him until after I posted on this thread and like I said he came in as freshwater but through my research it basiclly said he goes either FW or SW as an adult.

I guess a diffrence between a lesser devilray and a devilray is the water type they livein as adults...... but I'm definitly not an expert on devilrays do not claim to be one and probably have a 50% chance on having what I say be right when it comes to this fish.

I got no scientific name for him since he came in from a trans-shipper and due to that little tidbit of missing information I can't really help out much in terms of care and what you would need to have.

I like him/her, alot. I usually post over on aquariacentral and aquariumboards but I want this guy to make it so I took the time to register over here and make a post about it in hope to find it a home.

I would take a picture but all I have is my camera phone at work and well its no nikon 10 megapixle thingamy but you guys are local go check it out, the pic would not be a good representation.

Again thanks for taking an interest in the ray
