Ugh... has anyone been to the Jones & Co. in marysville lately? i was just in there and i was sadly disapointed. the person in the fish room didnt even know what convicts looked like. then he was trying to tell me that this convict was a flowerhorn. and to top it off, he then tells me that ALL cichlids have the orange scales on the belly... WTF! so after all this, he went to get someone who "knew more"... yeah, even worse the second time around:nilly:. damn, i cant stand people who work at a fish store, and know NOTHING!!! they are also selling a "large" convict for $12.99, the fish isnt even 2 inches long:screwy:... i just dont get it. anyways, rant over... They've got a lot of Lima Shovelnose Cats for like 21.99.

I was there a couple days ago. The people there know the names of what they see on a list and that's about it.. There's a new old guy there who seems to know his plants pretty well.
Most pet stores you have to have your own knowledge before going in or buying. I never asks question about fish at a fish store when it has to do with any type of purchase or compatibility.

yeah, the problem was he was trying to charge me a flowerhorn price for a convict. a panda flowerhorn for like 24.99:screwy:. i did however buy a lima:D

Is there anything I can use the doesn't require elbow grease? Something that will just dissolve most of it away?
I think I might have tried the vinegar thing and I don't think it worked well for me.
I use plain old white vinegar, gets rid of Idaho hard water, which can be pretty thick.

For the glass try a razorblade with vinegar. For the plastic, a coarse sponge with vinegar. And lots of elbow grease.
When glass looks like that on my tops, I ditch the glass, with a hammer, and replace it for a couple bucks at the local hardware store.

That's why i stick with PetPouree in Everett... They aren't perfect by any means but they do have 2 or 3 people in there that do know what the heck they are talking about... They do have some cool fish that you won't find in many lfs in this area...

I went there after we met up and they actually had the scarlet Badis I was talking about, I never seen one in real life and they just happen to have 3 when I went down there :)
They max out at 1" :headbang2
