I have seen everyone recommend T grade over S grade 20 out of 20 times, your the only one I seen say that. I heard you can get dry pockets and it get compacted and actually can kill your plants by not letting the roots breath.

I've yet to see any dry pockets, and have no trouble growing low light plants in my tank or my buddies 180. However if you were gonna go for something bigger than S grade. go with black gravel, as it will be easier to take care of, even if you never plan on vacuuming it.

I'm just going to get Eco, I would love to have black sand, but I would also hate to have to change my substrate just encase it gives me problems.
Black sand looks very cool.

You ought to get ahold of Jed (TheTrust) he has some black sand for sale and it should be way cheaper than buying new stuff from a LFS.. It's new never used stuff too..

I found one place that sells the S grade in black, But I want to buy the T grade because I know it will work well for me and my plants.

LFS are a rip off on almost everything.. I saw the Fluorite I have for sale at $29.99 per bag plus tax.. Now imagine having to fill a 100 gallon plus tank with that? yeah right... It's like they buy from the same places we do and try to re-sell it for a profit.

I agree LFS will take you for what ever they can get out of you, good luck on your search for your T grade..
