Does anyone know why they would start showing their junk?

My experience with them thar Geos is that they would do it whenever the bloody hell they wanted to. Before water changes. After water changes. The only obvious link I could determine was that there was a 'Y' in the day.

Pretty funny that they're hangin' w/your new rays - but more importantly, has that male noticed their junk?

The males junk is hangin out, but he shows no interest in the females. They are still 3 times his size.

what kind of sand are you using? and how much did you get your rays for?

I'm using quikrete fine sand. They seem to really love it. Picked up the pair for $100.

nice i love the sand whered you get it and how much was a bag?also any issues with the filter and your sand? does it float easily ( get kicked up easily?) soory for all the questions im remoldling a few tanks and want to try some sand

The sand is from Home Depot. It's $5 for a 50lb. bag. It's pretty easy to kick up, but if your filter intake is a few inches from the bottom you'll be fine. I had to cut about 2" off the suction tube on my FX-5. No issues so far. It's been about a month. Make sure you clean in really well. I mean, really well. t took a while to get it clean. But you see the result. It's well worth it.
