is this a sign

i mean if it is some type of mating that would be awesome cause that would be the first time im going to have a bunch of fry

looks like breeding rituals to me

That's not mating, it's fighting. Tiger Barbs have rifs with one another every now and again. Could be to establish a pecking order.

I had Tiger Barbs who did this off and on, they would really get into it and then be best buds after. If their colors are changing it's most likely fighting, if the color stays the same then perhaps it is mating.

U might have an weird ratio of male to females or all males. thats why u are seeing this behavior everyday. they are fighting trying to establish who will be the alpha. thing is might be ore than two males trying to be the boss and thats why ur seeing it so often. it might happen on and off for a while. in my experience females are fat looking plump with dull color and no redish on the nose or tips of fins. males will get bright redish on the nose and brigther or red on the edges of their fins.
