I dont know what you mean by frozen shrimp, but it sound like it might not be getting any food. What is your lighting? Are there any animals that might be eating it/bugging it? Tell us about water quality in your tank...those are the big things you need to be worried about. Better in my mind to chuck an anemone vs risking it dissolving in your tank and killing EVERYTHING.

Just tell us the parameters to see if anyhting is wrong. By shrimp do you mean like, table shimp? I feed mine cut up raw shrimp from Wal-Mart. But my anemone is WAY smaller than yours.

You will know when it is going bad. It will start to "dissolve". Be careful though, it may be splitting, so do not throw it out to quickly.
