Whats in my water?

Did a waterchange on my 55 and it looked like I had hundreds of shredded plastic (like the kind that packs of cigs come in) They were all different sizes and when I grabbed the bigger ones they fell apart. Most of them have now settled or have been sucked up by the filter but I still see a few floating around.



I did a WC on my 125 right before and it doesn't have it.

hmm i was thinking maybe it was shrimp shells but i guess not, idk sorry.

Okay I just noticed something...the glass on the back of the tank looks like it peeling I can take my finger and make it get it to come off, this makes sense since since I took a sponge and cleaned the entire front pane when I did the WC. I just can't figure out what it is?

Maybe built up chloromines....Even after they are fought off, they leave a residue....

Possibly, the tank sat empty for about a year and a half.
