Mine started out on live earthworms. After a couple of weeks (after fattening him up a bit) I dropped earthworm sticks among the worms and he took the sticks. After a while, I started mixing massivore in with the sticks and he took them up pretty quickly.

Nice. Must be pretty are to see one tig traded in, not to mention two. I've never seen one in 8 years of hunting trade-ins.

What size are they (I realize you only got one) and how much did the store want?

Some are easy to get to eat what you want and some are not. Appears 50-50 and IDK the reason. I used to think it is dead versus live foods but then became not so convinced. One thing I became convinced of is that after the traumatic experience of re-homing is the best time to start offering the diet you want... usually.

Oddball Oddball your tig is beautiful I hope mine will look like that one day
@thebiggerth the store wanted 200 for him I used my 10 percent off and got it for 195 they had three in store the other trade in and one they order which they wanted 400 for it was in bad shape and the same size as the one I got.... They just sale trade ins for cheaper I guess

Very lucky find. If you will, tell the LFS name - maybe some other MFK-er will too get a 10"-11" tig for $200 and raise it to 3' :)

No problem the lfs is called the aquatic critter they are located in nashville they also have a web site were you can get their addresse and number. I love how you can call and put fish they have in stock on hold... they have 2 tigs one 200 dollar one 400 dollar one and a 200 dollar juranese
