Yeah they are with the special project fish lol. the jar got moved to the big tank. so these guys will have free roam of the upper level of swimming. and once I get my third FX5 running on this tank they will feel at home with all the current.

Dang at 5 inches, they already have like 1/2 inch teeth, jeez. How's the jar doing in the big tank. How big they get dude?
 
the jar is still swimming as of right now. lol We'll see what happens when the big cat works off some of the food I just gave him.
 
So do you think they're actually GATF? TFD is supposed to usually be pretty legit, so I guess they should be. I'm terrible at ID'ing ATF though, so I got no idea. Either way, they look nice. Did you actually visit TFD? I might be heading up there once the 120 is done cycling to pick up some dirt-cheap polys.

Head shape looks gatf. TFD is usually bad at ID'ing gatf, armatus, etc...from what I've heard

thanks From what I gather from Joe at TFD these and the VATFS he had were a messup in some other wholesalers order and as a favor he took them and is just selling them for what he's got in them that's why so cheap.

Yeah True GATFs he had VATFs and I knew to look for no dark lateral line and a longer snout. And these guys had no line and a longer face. they look ten times better in person. I have heard people call true GAFTs mirrors with teeth and that's exactly what these look like. It was nice to see GATFs right beside VATFs to make that comparison.

Yeah I went to TFD they are iffy at best with letting people come into the shop unless you either don't have a LFS they supply or your LFS isn't willing to get you something on there stocklist. They want to protect the LFS b/c that's who does most of there business.
 
Koop, how much did these guys cost ya? I've always wanted one, but I don't have wads of cash. Must be a fair price if you got three :-)
