So since i never liked weeksii i never really read up on them. From the little that i did read up on my understanding is they hide, grow slow, and dont have big appetites....all qualities i absolutely hate in a fish

You're deleeksii will be fine on activity. It really depends on the hardscape imo. The way u have it set up now is perfect.
